MEDEVAC

A week ago, we were with friends in Canaan Town Hall when a Canaan volunteer fireman and member of the town board burst into the room asking for all cars parked across the road at Stoddard Field ne moved immediately. A medevac helicopter from Springfield was heading there to pick up and transport a patient seriously injured in a car crash at the intersection of Route 295 and Old Queechy Lake Road.

We observed an array of emergency responders, e.g., Canaan Fire Company, Chatham Rescue Squad, Red Rock Fire Company. We don't know the outcome given HIPAA. We wonder about traffic safety in Canaan and lack of response by the NYSDOT.
